I started graying today, I have several gray hairs on the top of my head, well, had. No, I'm not old, I've just been painting a ceiling and some walls and a few baseboards and trim. I definitely got my exercise just going up and down the ladder and moving it around. I've also gotten very good at ladder acrobatics, I should get Steven to take a picture tomorrow when I do it again.
This thought now leads me to something equally important...the spelling of the word "gray." All in all, I don't like it. I think "gray" should be spelled "grey," it just looks better, but the computer does not recognize that spelling. "Grey" just looks more familiar...isn't that how Crayola spells it?

I've never been able to figure out if it's grey or gray. I think it's both.
Fun to see your blog--thanks for sharing! Josh has plenty of "grey" hairs for a young under-30-year old. We prefer to call it his "distinguished" look that will land him a highly responsible job. . . :) Josh says he's actually transitioned his spelling to "gray" consistently since he started college. Looks like we've got a battle on our hands. So maybe Michael has a preference but is it theatre or theater?
Cheers, Anna
I just happened to have my daughter's crayon box right next to me, and they ARE Crayola brand. And I am sorry to say they spell it GRAY. BUT- I do know that Grey is how they spell it for Grey's Anatomy. And many other people with the last name spell it like that. (I know three other people-not related- that spell their last names Grey...)
It's a British vs. American thing. But think it's only relatively recent like in the last 200 years or so.
ha ha ha... I was just going to leave a comment about how Grey's Anatomy is with an E, and Grey's Anatomy rules all, so it must be right.... then I saw Pam's comment. Funny.
