Amazing Things

I decided that I needed to post about some of my most recent amazing things...

After posting about needing flowers, a friend of mine left some on my doorstep.  My roommate came home and made it into quite the investigation as to where the flowers came from.  I keep telling her that my secret boyfriend gave them to me, but she doesn't believe me.

I decided to make Valentines Day a day of service.  It was the best Valentines Day I've had in quite awhile.  I did my best to make others happy when I could.  I started by making these cute little bread bears for my co-worker's daughters and a few other co-workers as well.  I remember that my mom would make a similar bread bear for our teachers on Teacher Appreciation Day so I thought I'd take a stab at it.

The day of Valentines, I made 3 dozen muffins (chocolate, blueberry, and apple) to deliver to some of the apartments of guys in my ward.  This was the little tag I made and put on the top.

Last night, I attended the banquet where I was honored as a finalist for the state for the PAEMST.  Two of my co-workers and my principal went with me.  We had a fancy dinner and a simple awards ceremony.  They let me keep this pretty flower that was one of the center pieces.  I also bought a new dress for the occasion.

Today, I got the following letter in the mail from my niece thanking me for a present I sent to her a couple of weeks ago.

Other than that, I haven't been up to much.  I still have my student teacher, but she only has a week left.  We haven't been on nearly as many adventures as we have in the past during our student teacher weeks.  Our first real trip away from the school was yesterday morning when we were needed to judge a science fair at a friend's school down the street.  We've mostly been preparing things for next school year and coloring pictures for kindergarten.

Ehnh?

Sara and I were talking tonight and I realized/wondered about how you would spell a "word" that isn't actually a word, it's more of a sound or a feeling...one that would best be described through a picture:

Did you guess the word/sound/feeling?  The best I could come up with is "ehnh" it would possibly include a question mark at the end.  Let me put it in context: "How do you tell someone that you like them enough to talk to them, but you don't ever see yourself making out with them? You know, it's kinda like 'ehnh, sorry, I just don't feel that way'."

I would include some synonyms for you, but that also has quite a few spelling problems/conundrums.

Mind Reader

Do you ever wish you could know what someone is thinking?  I do, but not all of the time.  I especially want to know when you glance up and notice someone across the room quickly look away because they had been looking at you.  Or when you and a person have had something change between the two of you whether it was mutual or one-sided.

I don't want to know everyone's thoughts all of the time, that could be scary and I think a person needs to have his or her thoughts to be something that is only theirs but can share if they so choose.  You can't keep people out of everything except your thoughts, those are safe and I like that my thoughts are safe or else I wouldn't give myself the opportunity to just let my mind wander or to ponder some of the things I do.  If someone else could just look into my thoughts, I would feel guarded all of the time and that's not fun.
