Delta 4th of July

For this year's 4th of July I went to Delta with a few friends of mine.

We decided that we wanted to enjoy a small town's celebrations.  We drove down on Sunday night, spent the night, and woke up the next morning to watch the parade.  Afterwards, we walked around town, visited the park, had my first ever funnel cake (delicious!), stopped by a friend's house, had a BBQ and then took a nap.  That night we went to the main attraction:

the demolition derby! It was my first and we were excited!

Don't worry, these guys weren't in there the whole time, they only came out to turn a car back over

AFTER

At one point it started to rain a bit and the wind picked up so we had to use the blankets that we brought to sit on to block the wind and dirt blowing in our faces.  After the derby, we watched the fireworks and then drove home.  It was a great weekend and fun was had by all!
