One of Those Days

Today has been one of those days. You know, where little things keep happening, each one not amounting to much, but they slowly add up until you've had it and can't take any more.  At one point, I wasn't sure if I wanted to just scream or sit down in a corner and just cry.  Let me paint this picture for you:

* Only three weeks left of school and everyone knows it.
* Starting the last end-of-year test and still trying to review as per student request, but not all of the students have requested it
* Being told to fix something that I have no control over and no way to fix...still not out of the woods with that one
* No one listening to instructions
* Half the class doing something incorrectly because they didn't hear the instructions and having to start over (oh, and in case you didn't know, when that happens it's the teacher's fault)
* Testing session taking too long with most of the class done and refusing to just sit and read, but we still have to wait for two more to finish
* Students trying to sneak out to the bathroom because I gave their friend permission to go
* A broken door
* A boring training meeting where I didn't learn anything new

Tomorrow doesn't look promising either.

As I said, all of these things on their own wouldn't be a big deal, but put them one after the other in the same day with the same group of burned out 12-year-olds and it starts to get a little much.

Don't worry, I'll survive.
