Well Said!

I can't say it any better than how my brother described his reasonings for voting yes on California's Proposition 8. Voting "yes" is voting for equality. So, go read what he wrote and then go visit www.whatisprop8.com.

You know- I'm going to have to disagree with you (and your brother) on this one. Morally, I'm against it. However, I believe that everyone should be given their agency to do whatever they please, so long as it doesn't outright hurt of affect my family. You brother (sorry, I didn't even look which one wrote that) mentions this in the first half of his statement. However, the situations that people are claiming that are going to "harm" us, I don't believe to be true. I don't ever remember learning the slightest thing about marriage in schools, so how would they ruin a curriculum that isn't there? There are lots of things in schools that are either banned from being taught, or told to be taught in a "from both sides" view, such as evolution. I don't remember ever having political agendas and opinions be any part of the lower education program- so I'll just disagree on that.
Also- with adoption programs and such, the church is allowed to take their own personal routes and agendas on who they adopt the children under their program out to. If it's a private adoption agency, that is what it is- private, and they can choose whether or not to adopt out to gay couples.

Anyay- Just thought I'd tell you my opinion. I'm not seeing any good arguments FOR this prop, other than my friend who lives in CA told me that soemthing like this had already been passed, but the courts ignored it? If that is the case, then it should be passed- but if it's just a new thing being proposed, we'll just have to agree to disagree.

It's okay, I still love you :)
